Our Story

Welcome to Best Days With Dad, a resource created by parents, for parents.

As the founder of Best Days With Dad, my journey began in 2013 when I first became a father at the age of 23. This marked the beginning of what continues to be the most rewarding chapter of my life. By 28, I was blessed with three wonderful children, born in 2013, 2015, and 2017.

In 2019, life took an unexpected turn when my marriage ended, leading to divorce a year later. Today, I share 50/50 custody with my ex-wife, with changeovers occurring on Fridays—an arrangement that allows us both to enjoy full weekends with our children.

Our Mission

Best Days With Dad was born from a simple realization: finding meaningful, affordable activities to enjoy with children shouldn't require hours of research across multiple websites.

Like many parents, I cherish creating adventures and experiences with my children, but often struggled to discover those special activities that didn't cost a fortune or require extensive searching to uncover.

This platform serves as a curated guide to help you easily discover weekend activities that create lasting memories without breaking the bank. Every recommendation comes with:

• Personal experience: Each activity has been "road-tested" by my children and me
• Authentic reviews: Honest feedback from my children's perspective
• Practical cost guides: Activities range from free to $100, reflecting my own budget as a single parent

We will also be looking to expand into other Australian states in the future to help all families find easy adventures.

Our Name

While "Best Days With Dad" reflects my personal hope that my children will always remember our time together as special, this resource welcomes all parents, caregivers, and families. Our name celebrates the parent-child bond, but our content is designed to be valuable for anyone seeking quality experiences with the children in their lives.
